Press Release Body: Calgary, AB - Newark Police Department Uses Evans Consoles for their Surveillance Center When officials in Newark, NJ planned to open a new, state-of-the-art Surveillance Operation center, they relied on Evans Consoles for their monitoring and response consoles. The new center supports the 109 cameras that have been deployed across the city of Newark. The new Surveillance center, located in the Police Department Communications Building, provides a look at specifically crime-ridden neighborhoods, allowing police to respond almost instantaneously to suspicious or criminal behavior. At a press conference on Tuesday, July 01, 2008, Mayor Cory A. Booker thanked International Information Systems (IIS) for a job well done and for their efforts in getting the center opened on time. Working with IIS, Evans Consoles designed, built and installed the ## (Strategy?) consoles that comprise the monitoring area of the surveillance center.
